Short bio

Naomi Theinert is a PhD fellow in Criminology at the Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy (IRCP), Ghent University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and an international Master’s Degree in Criminology from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and Ghent University. Her research interests revolve around methodology, evidence-based policy and fundamental rights. She is currently involved as a doctoral researcher in the ERC-project ‘BIGDATPOL’ with a focus on the ethical dimension in big data policing in Europe, under the supervision of Professor Wim Hardyns.  .
