Short bio

Dr. Joke Geeraert is a postdoctoral researcher at Crime Lab, specializing in computational and quantitative criminology, network science, and risk assessment under uncertainty. She obtained her PhD in 2025 at Ghent University with research on the transmission of violent offending behavior in co-offending networks.

Her current research focuses on the development and application of computational models to support risk analysis and decision-making in complex socio-technical systems, with particular attention to critical infrastructure protection, security, and resilience.
