Can works as a researcher at the Department of Criminology, Criminal Law and Social Law of the Faculty of Law and Criminology. His research concerns deepfake technology and its socio-legal and human rights implications. He holds Master of Laws in International Human Rights Laws (Lund University) and Master of Laws (Yeditepe University) degrees.
