Short bio
Amandine Vanscheeuwijck obtained the degree of Master of Science in Criminological Sciences in 2022. She graduated magna cum laude from Ghent University, and is currently working as a PhD researcher at the Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy (IRCP) at Ghent University. She initially conducted her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. dr. Marc Cools, and is currently affiliated with the research teams of Prof. dr. Tom Vander Beken and Prof. dr. Pieter Leloup.
Her research focuses on trends of privatisation within criminal justice systems in Belgium and France. In addition, she has conducted research on collaboration between the police and private security actors.
