Short bio
Eva is an academic assistant at the department ‘Criminology, Penal Law and Social Law’, Faculty of Law (University of Ghent). As of 2016, she is a member of the Institute for International Research in Criminal Policy (IRCP), where she is conducting her doctoral research on the role of migration background in the criminal justice diversion to treatment. Her main areas of interest relate to the (Belgian) drug policy, criminal justice diversion to treatment and sentencing disparity. Furthermore, she assists on the courses ‘Drug Policy’, ‘Drug Phenomena’, ‘Sociology of Law’, ‘Research design in criminology’ and ‘Criminal Justice Criminology’ at Ghent University.
