Bart Vanclooster

I work as a prevention advisor at the ‘Internal Service for Prevention and Protection at Work’ at the Ministry of Defense. I have the rank of lieutenant colonel and have been trained as a civil engineer. In my current position, I lead the risk management department, which focuses on occupational safety, occupational hygiene, ergonomics and psychosocial aspects at work. I just started as a researcher at the University of Ghent and at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels. My field of research is limited to the occupational health & safety of the employees of the Police, Fire Brigade, Civil Protection and Defense on Belgium’s national territory in emergency situations. Publications will follow later this year.
