Short bio
Dimitri holds a Master of Laws, specialized in Tax Law, from the University of Antwerp. He subsequently completed a complementary Master in Maritime and Logistics Management at the same university, combining legal expertise with in-depth knowledge of the transport and logistics sector. He further expanded his international expertise through an MBA in Shipping at the University of the Aegean.
He started his career at the Agency for Maritime Services and Coast of the Flemish Government. He is currently part of the Global Trade Advisory (Tax & Legal) team at Deloitte Belgium as a Consultant, where he advises international clients on customs, international trade compliance and sustainability-related regulatory frameworks, including CBAM and EUDR.
In addition to his consulting activities, Dimitri is lecturer at Howest University College and SYNTRA, where he teaches topics as transport law, VAT, taxation, and logistics-related subjects.
In 2026, he started as a teaching assistant for Prof. Dr. Vandeviver in the Department of Criminology, Criminal Law, and Social Law at Ghent University.
