Short bio
Marta holds a Master of Laws from the University of Warsaw. During her studies, she served as President of the Warsaw Chapter of the European Horizons think tank and founded the Youth Internet Governance Forum, which co‑organised the UN Internet Governance Forum in Katowice (2021).
After graduation, she specialised in the legislative frameworks governing the digitalisation of healthcare. After gaining experience in legal practice, she worked as a legal & policy analyst in a NGO where she authored publications on healthcare data governance and digital sovereignty, contributing to policy recommendations for the Polish Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
Marta later joined the European Commission’s Digital Health Unit (C.1) as a trainee, working on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) Regulation with a focus on data subject rights and GDPR interactions.
She spent 2.5 years as a researcher at KU Leuven’s Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP), working on the Data Spaces Support Centre project and analysing the impact of EU data regulations on interoperable European data spaces, including the broader implications of the EHDS Regulation. She has also published several papers and contributed extensively to research project proposals.
Since February 2026, Marta has been a PhD Researcher at Metamedica, between IRCP and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, supervised by Prof. Dr. Griet Verhenneman and Prof. Dr. Tom Goffin. Her research examines how the ongoing digitalisation of healthcare shapes emerging fundamental and patients rights within the EU legal framework.
