Short bio
Louise Decabooter holds a Master of Laws (2021, Leuven University) and a Master’s degree in Criminological Sciences (2023, Ghent University). She currently works as a policy coordinator for care and welfare services at the prison of Ypres, having previously gained experience as a Coordinator of Detention Officers at the detention house in Kortrijk. In 2025, Louise joined the Department of Criminology, Criminal Law and Social Law at Ghent University as a teaching assistant, supporting Prof. Louis Favril in the courses Offender Reintegration and Forensic Welfare Studies.
