Short bio

Birte Vandaele is an academic researcher at Ghent University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology (University of Ghent, 2020). She is a researcher at the Department of Criminology, Criminal Law and Social Law of the Faculty of Law and Criminology (University of Ghent) and is a member of the Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy (IRCP). She is currently involved as a researcher in the EMMA-project (Evaluation and Mentoring of Multi-Agency approaches to radicalization leading to violent crime in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany) and a EUCPN-project (developing an education package regarding evaluation of crime prevention).
